Pacers sign Head Coach Frank Vogel to a Multi-Year Extension

Frank Vogel’s Pacers endured a roller coaster season where they were able to finish with the top seed in the East. That however wasn’t before when the team went through a terrible slump. It was impossible to miss the Roy Hibbert memes and memes all about the Pacers on the internet and it looked like the Pacers were going to lose to the Atlanta Hawks in round one but they pulled out the win in 7 games. The Pacers then were able to reach the Conference Finals and they rewarded Vogel today by helping them reach the Conference Finals after a terrible stretch of basketball:

Pacers president Larry Bird’s official statement on Vogel’s contract extension:

“We’re very happy to extend Frank’s contract,” said Pacers President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird. “I believe he has done a great job and I look forward to continuing our relationship and working together to achieve all of our goals.”

“I’m excited for the opportunity to continue my tenure as Pacers’ coach,” said Vogel. “It’s an honor to represent this franchise and lead this team. I look forward to the challenge ahead. I’m grateful to have had good, coachable teams along with coaching staffs that have been second to none.”

Vogel has 147 wins and 82 losses as the Pacers head coach.
