Yovani Gallardo Trade Official

The Milwaukee Brewers and Texas Rangers have finally agreed to a trade involving Brewers starting pitcher Yovani Gallardo. It was reported yesterday that the Brewers were on the verge of trading Gallardo to the Rangers and it has finally happened. The Brewers will be getting 3 prospects in this deal in-exchange for Yovani Gallardo.

Luis Sardinas, who is a infield prospect, has drawn comparisons defensive wise towards current Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus.

Cory Knebel, a 23 year-old former first round pick by the Tigers, was taken in the 2013 draft.

The last prospect the Brewers received is Marcos Diplan. Diplan, who is 18 years of age, pitched at the Rangers Class-A minor league team last season went 7-2 with a 1.54 earned run average with 57 strikeouts and no walks.

The Brewers could be looking to target Washington Nationals starting pitcher Jordan Zimmerman, who is a Wisconsin native and is 28 years of age. They could also be looking to target the biggest pitching name left on the market in James Shields.

The Brewers now have a projected rotation of, Kyle Loshe, Matt Garza, Willy Peralta, Mike Fires, and Jimmy Nelson.
