Five Most Questionable Contracts of NBA Free Agency

USA Today Sports

Every year in NBA free agency, we have players that get overpaid, underpaid, and signed for the right price. Some teams make some great moves, other teams make questionable moves. That’s what we’re here to discuss today, as we take a look at the five most questionable contracts of NBA free agency.

#5: Wesley Matthews

Contract: Five-year $70 million dollar deal with the Dallas Mavericks

Don’t get me wrong. Wesley Matthews is a great player. A great shooter, a great defender, and without a doubt one of the most underrated players in the NBA. The only reason I am questioning this move is due to injury. Matthews suffered a torn Achilles during the 2014-2015 season, and that is one of the toughest injuires in all of sports to come back from. Is it worth taking a $70 million dollar risk over? I don’t think so.
