Anthony Davis Wants to win ‘multiple rings’ in New Orleans

Anthony Davis is a bonafide winner when you look at his college numbers, and his college’s tradition in the University of Kentucky. Last NBA season, Davis lead the New Orleans Pelicans to their first playoff berth since the Chris Paul era, with the Pelicans competing well in almost every game of their playoff series versus the Golden State Warriors.

In a recent interview with The Advocate, Davis talked about a variety of things, including his goals for his 4th season in the association.

“Winning kind of — I don’t want to say it defines greatness, but it’s, like, 80 percent of it,” Davis said. “At the end of the day, I want to win a ring — multiple rings — and I think that helps you if they do have a debate whether you’re great or not.”

Remember, Davis and several other of his teammates were dealing with nagging injuries all season long, so it could end up being an even better year for Davis, who averaged 24.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game.
