Dwyane Wade did it all again for the Heat tonight.
After being held to just two points on 1-6 shooting from the field in the Heat’s 91-79 home loss to the Bucks back on January 19th, Wade finished with 24 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. 10 of Wade’s 24 came in the 4th quarter, including this clutch jumper:
“As soon as I got a little seam, I shot it off one leg, fading back. I thought it was the best shot I was going to get and it went in,” Wade said about his game winning jumper with 44 seconds left.
The Heat extend their win streak to three games following tonight’s 107-103 win, which have all came on the road.
“We’ve shown some grit and some toughness to win some tough games on the road,” Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said.
Goran Dragic and Josh McRoberts returned for the Heat tonight. Dragic scored 12 points and dished out 8 assists in his first game in a total of 32 minutes.
The Heat had six players score in double figures tonight. Wade of course was joined by Chris Bosh, Goran Dragic, Amar’e Stoudemire, Luol Deng, and Gerald Green.
“When we play like that it’s tough to stop us,” Dragic said. “It was a good victory for us. Especially against Milwaukee. It was a tough game.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 28 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks, leading all scorers in the game. Khris Middleton struggled from the floor tonight, shooting just 2-13.
It was another struggling night for the Bucks hitting the three, and defending the three point line. The Bucks let the Grizzlies take 28 three’s on Thursday night, as Memphis converted ten of them. The Heat also saw similar three point success, knocking down 7 of them on 18 tries.
Bucks rookie Rashad Vaughn had the Bucks’ only two three’s in the game. They both came in the 3rd quarter, which helped the Bucks lead after three. Khris Middleton had the Bucks only three on Thursday at Memphis.
“It’s just something I’m working on, not being hesitant. When I’m open, shoot it,” Rashad Vaughn said.
The Heat, (26-21) will return home on Sunday to face the Atlanta Hawks. The game will help decide who will have 1st place in the Southeast division. The Bucks, (20-29) will head to Sacramento to take on the Kings on Monday. The game will be apart of a three game west coast road trip.
