Bucks to Sign Veteran Three-Point Shooter Steve Novak

Steve Novak attended Marquette during his collegiate days, which could be found in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Now, according to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Marquette alum is headed to the Milwaukee Bucks to continue his NBA career:

Novak is a career 43% shooter from three-point range, and with the Bucks only having three established shooters in O.J. Mayo, Rashad Vaughn, and Khris Middleton, it’s likely that Novak will be able to make a nice living for the Bucks in a bench role.

As ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and Stein noted yesterday, the Milwaukee Bucks will likely cut forward Chris Copeland to open up a roster spot for Novak:

Novak was traded to the Nuggets on Thursday after the Thunder acquired Randy Foye for Denver in-exchange for Novak and D.J. Augustin. The Nuggets bought Novak out of his contract right away, leading to all of this happening.

Novak is averaging 2.4 points per game this season in only an average of 3.4 minutes a night.
