WATCH: Kobe Bryant Posts 6th Career 60-Point Game in Career Finale

Kobe Bryant put on a show indeed in his final game as a professional basketball player.

Bryant poured in a NBA season high 60 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers over the Utah Jazz 101-96. Bryant did it on 22-50 shooting from field while going 6-21 from three and 10-12 at the charity stripe.

“You can’t write something better than this,” Bryant said after the game.

After draining a 20 foot jump shot to put the Lakers up 1 with 31 seconds to go, Trey Lyles missed a layup, and the Jazz fouled Bryant with 58 points and chance to score 60 points for the 6th time in his career.

With the Lakers up 3 with eight seconds to go it seemed likely that the Jazz were going to try to take a three-pointer. Instead, Gordon Hayward went to the rack and missed a layup. Bryant then threw the ball down court to Jordan Clarkson for a dunk, his fourth assist of the night.

“What’s funny — the thing that had me cracking up all night long — the fact that I go through 20 years of everybody screaming to pass the ball, and then the last night they’re like, ‘Don’t pass it!'” Bryant said, while laughing.
