Stephen Strasburg Exits Game vs. Braves With Apparent Injury

Washington Nationals right-handed pitcher Stephen Strasburg was activated from the disabled list to start tonight for the Nationals, but after 42 pitches versus the Atlanta Braves , he’s night is over due to injury:

Strasburg was off to a good start today through 2 1/2 innings of work that featured four strikeouts, but it appears after 42 pitches, something undisclosed at the moment has flared up with the Nationals superstar pitcher.

Sean Burnett replaced Strasburg in this game.

The 28-year-old Strasburg is 15-4 on the season with a 3.53 earned run average and 183 strikeouts in 150 innings of work so far this season. We will keep you updated on Strasburg’s status as more updates become available to the public as the night goes on.
