LaMarcus Aldridge Will Shoot More Three-Pointers This Season

San Antonio Spurs power LaMarcus Aldridge says that he will attempt more three-pointers this season after shooting just 16 three-point attempts last year.

“Pop, after last season, told me to get back with  it, so I’ll start taking that shot more this year,” Aldridge said.

In his final season as a Blazer, Aldridge attempted 105 threes and knocked down 37 of them, proving that he is capable of making the shot.

With Tim Duncan out of the picture in San Antonio, Aldridge’s role will be increased alongside Kawhi Leonard and now edition Pau Gasol. Leonard figures to be the main option in San Antonio still, but with Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili also starting to decline, Aldridge will be even more critical to the Spurs success.

Aldridge averaged 18 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game in 74 regular season games last season. In the playoffs, he averaged 21.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1 assists per game.
