Denver Nuggets rookie guard Jamal Murray scored his first NBA basket after starting his career 0-for-17 from the field in the Nuggets’ blowout loss to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night.

The 19-year-old Murray missed his first shot of the game to put him at 0-for-17, but then hit a wide-open three-pointer in the 1st quarter:

Tonight was Murray’s 2nd career NBA start, as he started alongside Emmanuel Mudiay in the Nuggets backcourt that is still developing.

Now that the first made shot is out of the way, Murray can feel revealed, and ready to make several more shots in his career.
