Kings Open to Trading Willie Cauley-Stein

ESPN’s Marc Stein is reporting that the Sacramento Kings are open to trading center Willie Cauley-Stein, who has grown unhappy with his role in Sacramento:

Keep an eye on Kings big man Willie Cauley-Stein. Word is Sacramento is open to moving the second-year big man, who wants more of a role than he has under new Kings coach Dave Joerger.

Cauley-Stein is averaging 14.5 minutes per game this season, which is a decrease from the minutes he saw in his rookie season under now ex-Kings head coach George Karl when he played an average of 21.4 minutes a night.

In addition to the decrease in minutes, Cauley-Stein has sat out two games due to coach Dave Joerger’s decision to simply not play him on those two particular nights.

The 23-year-old Cauley-Stein, who was selected 6th overall by the Kings in the 2015 NBA Draft, is averaging 4.8 points and 1.8 rebounds per game this season.
