Astros Agree to Four-Year, $52 Million Deal With Josh Reddick

Josh Reddick will have a new home in 2017, as he has agreed to a four-year, $52 million pact with the Houston Astros, per Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.

The signing of Reddick was one of two big transactions Houston made today. They acquired catcher Brian McCann from the Yankees in-exchange for two prospects to bolster their lineup that’s centered around Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve.

The 29-year-old Reddick, who will turn 30 this off-season, will also provide the Astros with some elite defense in the outfield, as he is a former Gold Glove Award winner back in 2012.

Reddick batted .272/.333/.449 with 10 homers and 37 RBIs last season with the Athletics and the Dodgers.
