VIDEO: Xavier Rhodes Records 100-Yard Pick Six vs. Cardinals

Carlos Gonzalez/Star Tribune

Minnesota Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes did something on Sunday that no other player in Vikings history has ever done.

With the Vikings up 13-10 late in the 2nd quarter and the Cardinals driving, Rhodes intercepted Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer, and returned the interception 100 yards to net the longest interception return in Vikings history.

The record was previously held by longtime Vikings cornerback Bobby Bryant, who returned an interception 63 yards against the Dallas Cowboys on December 30, 1973.

Plays like this are what helped the Vikings jump off to a surprising 5-0 start after early injuries to Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson. Their 30-24 win today helped snap a four-game losing streak.
