Remember when the Colin Kaepernick trade seemed very likely to happen?
We sit one day away from the 2016 NFL Draft and the 49ers still have Kaepernick and Blaine Gabbert as their quarterbacks with Kaepernick still tied into a six-year $114 million deal until 2021.
The last time we heard about a potential Colin Kaepernick trade was with the 49ers and the Denver Broncos. That of course fell apart because of Kaepernick’s contract that will see him earn an average salary of $19 million during the course of the deal. Now, 49ers general manager Trent Baalke told this to ESPN:
49ers' GM Trent Baalke told @BobHoltzmanESPN that it's possible Colin Kaepernick could be traded this week.

Kaepernick is coming off a miserable season that was cut short due to a shoulder injury after getting benched in favor of Blaine Gabbert. The 28-year-old Kaepernick appeared in 9 games for the 49ers, throwing for 1,615 yards and seven all-purpose touchdowns.
