Legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre first started hinting of retiring when he was at the age of 32. In 2006, it seemed like it was a sure thing to happen, and then we all know what happened following that. He retired, then un-retired and you know that. If we fast forward to today, Aaron Rodgers, who was then Favre’s back-up was asked on how many years he plans to play after already playing 10 years in the league.
“Eight,” Rodgers told Peter King of TheMMQB.com.
Rodgers, who is now 31, would end up playing until the end of the 2022 season if things plan out like he is shaping them up to be. Rodgers has discussed that bringing more titles to Green Bay after the one in Super Bowl XLV is something that he and the Packers are aiming high at. It seems like there’s a new attitude in Green Bay following the team’s meltdown in the NFC Championship Game last year to the Seattle Seahawks.
