The Heat signed veteran big man Amar’e Stoudemire to a one-year $1.5 million dollar deal this Summer. The $1.5 million is a huge pay cut for someone like Stoudemire, but he said he is willing to do whatever it takes to help the Heat win. Yesterday, via his official Instagram page, Stoudemire announced that he will wear number five with the Heat.

Stoudemire becomes the 11th Heat player to wear the number five, joining Eric Murdock, Sasha Danilovic, Mark Strickland, Eddie House, Keyon Dooling, Derek Anderson, Marcus Banks, Quentin Richardson, Juwan Howard and Henry Walker.
