One of the rising stars in the NBA will not be participating in his first NBA All-Star game. According to Yahoo Sports’ Marc J. Spears, Anthony Davis will not play in the 2014-2015 NBA All-Star game due to his shoulder injury. Davis suffered the injury on an alley-oop dunk versus the Bulls which he land right on his shoulder.

Davis is currently having a MVP type season, averaging 24.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game this season for the Pelicans, keeping them in contention for the 8th seed in the tough Western Conference.
