Billy Hamilton Ties Career High for Stolen Bases in a Single Season vs. Cardinals

Billy Hamilton is fast. Really fast. So fast, he can steal on Yadier Molina – who has never thrown him out once in 10 tries. In today’s Cardinals-Reds game, Hamilton swiped two steals off of Molina, tying his single season high for stolen bases at 56, which he set in more games last year.

In addition to tying his career high in less games, Hamilton has also been caught less on the base paths this year, only getting out seven times while getting out 23 times last year.

If he had a better bat, we could only imagine how often he would steal, and how many he can rack up. He already leads baseball in steals as he is now, but it would be amazing to see what he could do with just a better bat.
