Cliff Alexander was a top-five recruit of college basketball’s 2014 recruiting class as he committed to the University of Kansas. Problems off the court made Alexander’s draft stock go way down, and it even made him become an un-drafted free agent. Alexander played on the Nets Summer League team where he averaged 7.4 points and 6.3 rebounds.
The Portland Trail Blazers lost LaMarcus Aldridge to the San Antonio Spurs this Summer, so they’re willing to get any help they can get at the power forward spot. That’s why their signing Alexander to a training camp deal giving him a chance to make the team.

Alexander is still just 19 years of age, so if he gets the right amount of minutes to prove himself in the NBA, he could develop into a good player.
