Blue Jays Top Priorities are Re-Signing Marco Estrada and David Price

The Toronto Blue Jays acquired right-handed pitcher Marco Estrada from the Milwaukee Brewers last offseason in-exchange for 1st baseman Adam Lind, giving the Blue Jays a quality starter who the Brewers had been fixing up over the last five years.

Estrada posted his best season with the Blue Jays in 2015, going 13-8 with a 3.13 earned run average and 131 strikeouts. He was one of the Blue Jays best pitchers during their playoff run, and that might be one of the reasons why general manager Alex Anthopoulos is interested in bringing Estrada back.

In addition to wanting Estrada back, Anthopoulos expressed interest in bringing back David Price, the star pitcher acquired via trade in July from the Detroit Tigers.

Price finished 2015 overall with a 2.45 ERA and a win-loss record of 18-5 with 225 strikeouts between the Tigers and Blue Jays combined. He posted a 2.30 ERA with a 9-1 win-loss record and 87 strikeouts with the Blue Jays from July until the end of the year.
