The first day of the MLB Winter meetings got off to a bang with the Athletics and Indians making quite a big trade. The Athletics sent slugging 1st basemen Brandon Moss to the Indians in-exchange for 2nd base all star prospect Joey Wendle.

Brandon Moss, who redefined his career in Oakland had a .234 average with 25 home runs and 81 driven in last year in Oakland including two big home runs in the Royals Athletics wild card game.

The Athletics now have traded 3 of their best hitters in Yoenis Céspedes, Josh Donaldson, and now Brandon Moss. It seems like a rebuilding process is starting in Oakland. But as we know, we can never doubt Billy Beane.
