Former NBA all-star Brandon Roy is one of the most well known players in NBA history that has dealt with various injuries that ruined their careers. Roy, 30, hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2012-2013 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but his injuries have continued to haunt him. According to former Washington big man Robert Upshaw, Roy blew out his Achilles while playing pick-up basketball.
Upshaw, who is preparing for the 2015 NBA Draft this Summer, has talked to Roy along with many NBA players about ways to improve his game and has became close with several. That’s more than likely the reason why Upshaw knew about Roy’s Achilles injury.
