Orlando Arcia, the top prospect in the Brewers organization, has been added to the team’s 40-man roster, the Brewers official Twitter account announced earlier today.
The #Brewers have added INF Orlando Arcia, RHP Jacob Barnes and RHP Damien Magnifico to the 40-man roster, which now stands at 38.

Arcia turned himself into one of baseball’s best prospects for the Brewers at Double-A Biloxi, batting .307 with 8 home runs and 69 runs batted in while swiping 25 stolen bases. The Brewers made the move to stash Arcia on the 40-man to protect him from the Rule 5 draft coming up in December.
Arcia is slated to be ranked one of the top prospects in all of baseball next season, and he is also expected to begin the 2016 season at Triple-A Colorado Springs according to Brewers general manager David Stearns.
