Brewers Bring Back K-Rod on Two-Year Deal

Francisco Rodriguez, also known by his popular nickname, “K-Rod” will begin his 4th stint with the Brewers, as the team and Rodriguez have agreed to a two-year deal worth 13 million. Rodriguez has worn a Brewers uniform four different years and has saved 57 games for the Brewers in those 4 years.

Rodriguez 32, saved 44 games for the Brewers last season, and was on a stretch of 11-11 on save chances at one point. Rodriguez will bolster a Brewers deep bullpen which will feature newly added Neil Cotts into the equation, along with Jonathan Broxton and Will Smith. Jim Henderson and Tyler Thornburg will also be returning form injuries suffered early last year.

Rodriguez is currently 10th on Major League Baseball’s all-time saves list with 348 saves. The leader on the list is Mariano Rivera, with 652 saves.
