One of the biggest names on the Brewers pitching staff could be sent out very soon. According to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, the Milwaukee Brewers and Texas Rangers are close to a deal that would said Yovani Gallardo to the Rangers.
#Rangers on verge of trading for #Brewers’ Yovani Gallardo, sources tell me and @jonmorosi.

Gallardo has been with the Brewers for 7 years and has started nearly every Opening Day and big game for the Brewers of the course of time. Gallardo has started to fall off from his ace form however, and it seems like the Brewers are ready to move on from Gallardo.
It’s unclear what the Brewers would get at this time, but I would think it would be prospects or, they can try to get a reliever from the Rangers and make a similar trade they made with the Royals last year for Will Smith.
Sources: #Rangers offered IF Luis Sardinas in several deals this off-season. Possible he is one of players heading to #Brewers for Gallardo.

Reports have also flared up that with the Brewers set to unload Gallardo’s contract, they might be able to make a run at the two biggest names on the pitching market left in James Shields and Max Scherzer.
The Brewers could explore other trades with other teams as well. If they don’t like the Rangers offer they can possibly ship Yovani off some where else.
