Brewers set to Active Jean Segura From Disabled List Friday

Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Jean Segura was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a broken finger on May 14th. The shortstop is now expected to come off the Brewers disabled list right on schedule as the team is preparing to active him from the DL on Friday when the Brewers start a series with the Diamondbacks.

Brewers manager Craig Counsell provided additional information on Segura returning to the team on Friday.

“I think we’re down to days with them,” said Craig Counsell. “I’m optimistic. They’re taking big steps at this point, which is what you want to see. You kind of see the light here with both of those guys.”

Segura is hitting .262 with 2 home runs and 12 runs batted in so far this season for the Brewers.
