The Brewers have officially begun selling. With the team sitting at 42-53 and a rebuilding process begging to start, the Brewers have traded veteran third baseman Aramis Ramirez to the Pirates along with cash considerations in-exchange for a minor league right handed pitcher Yahonathan Barrios.

Ramirez started his career with the Pirates, and he will be playing his final season as a member of the team. 12 years ago today the Pirates traded him to his second team, the Chicago Cubs for a quick fun fact. Ramirez is batting .242 on the season with 11 home runs and 42 runs batted in throughout 81 games for the Brewers during the 2015 season. He will help bolster a Pirates infield that has Josh Harrison and Jordy Mercer both out with injuries.
