We all know what went down yesterday. Carlos Gomez was traded to the Mets, Wilmer Flores was crying, Terry Collins was yelling, and we’re all confused about why Flores wasn’t taken out of the game. Then, the Mets decided Gomez makes to much money, pulled out of the trade, and now Carlos Gomez is headed to the Astros along with pitcher Mike Fiers, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports provided us with the prospects the Brewers will be getting for Fires and Gomez, along with the full trade.
Heyman also informed us that the Astros are okay with Gomez medically.
Gomez was in the Brewers lineup tonight versus the Cubs, but will clearly be scratched. He is batting .262 on the season with 8 home runs and 43 runs batted in.
