The Denver Broncos used their second round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft to select former Wisconsin star running back Montee Ball. Ball might have been the right choice at the time, but now it wasn’t, seeing that backs like Eddie Lacy and Le’Veon Bell, who were taken after Ball are better.
Ball has struggled to live up to the expectations with the Broncos, which is ending his tenure in the Mile High, a little earlier then he would’ve liked.
Ball thanked the Broncos organization, via his official Twitter account.
I would like to thank the @Broncos for a fun ride…many lessons learned met some great lifelong friends! Head held high..

Ball rushed for just 731 yards and 5 touchdowns over two years with the Broncos. Injuries and lack of production are the reason he couldn’t make the Broncos, but it’s unlikely that some team needing running back depth doesn’t give him a shot.
