Josh McCown who signed a 2 year 10 million dollar deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last off-season, has been released by the Buccaneers after only one year of the contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Josh McCown was signed by the Buccaneers after his good year he had for the Chicago Bear, playing some games for the injured Jay Culter.
McCown threw for 2,206 yards last season with 11 touchdowns, 14 interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 70.5 in 11 games for the Buccaneers.
There is little to no doubt that the Buccaneers use their number one pick in the 2015 NFL Draft on a quarterback. Jameis Winston being the most likely pick.
