Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade won’t play tonight versus the Los Angeles Lakers for rest purposes after playing 35 minutes on Saturday night, Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg told reporters earlier today.

Nikola Mirtotic will start in-place of Wade, while the rest of the Bulls starting lineup will remain the same with Rajon Rondo, Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, and Robin Lopez.
Hoiberg said Wade felt good this morning, but the two talked it over, and decided that rest was the best option tonight to keep him fresh for the remainder of the road trip. Chicago will have the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers to cap off their road trip on Tuesday and Friday.
Wade is averaging 18.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game this season.
