Henrik Lundqvist hasn’t been on the ice for the Rangers since February 2nd, but it’s almost been un-noticeable with the way Rangers back-up goalie Cam Talbot has been playing. Talbot has 702 saves this season, with a total of 761 hockey pucks being hit his way. His save percentage is at 92.2% overall, which is also the same exact save percentage as Henrik Lundqvist.
Over the last 9 games, Talbot has been in total beast mode, as he has a record of 7-1-1. His save percentage is at 94.8% percent, which includes two shut outs during the nine game stretch with a total of five shut outs on the season. Talbot has kept the Rangers among the NHL’s best, and now their record proves it, as they are the best team in the National Hockey League.
Talbot made a must see save in the Rangers latest game versus the Washington Capitals. Which was pretty incredible to see.
Talbot is with no doubt the best back-up goalie in the league, you can imagine how the Rangers feel knowing that Henrik Lundqvist can be injured, and they would have no worries as Cam Talbot would be there to beat the goal buster he is for the Rangers.
