Things haven’t gone the Brewers way so far this season, but they could be finally getting some good news for once. All-star outfielder Carlos Gomez is hopeful that he’ll be able to return to the Brewers lineup on Saturday when the Brewers are in Chicago to take on the Cubs in the I-94 Rivalry. Gomez was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a small tear in his hamstring strain on April 15th, and Saturday is the first date he can come off the DL.
Obviously the medical staff has the final call, but Carlos Gomez said he’s eyeing a return from the DL on Saturday in Chicago.

Gomez was off to a slow start for the Brewers this season, hitting .235 with 1 home run with 6 runs batted in along with 0 stolen bases in 8 games this season, which is something very unusual for Gomez. Hopefully Gomez comes back and gives the Brewers some much needed offense.
