The Dallas Cowboys have officially placed quarterback Tony Romo on short-term injured reserve with a fractured left clavicle.

What does this mean? It means that when Romo is fully healed from his injury, the Cowboys can take him off injured reserve and would be able to play him again this season. When the Cowboys take him off, his first game that he can play in will be two months form today, when the Cowboys play the Dolphins.

Romo sent out the following Tweet yesterday, indicating that he won’t need surgery to repair the fractured collarbone.

With Brandon Weeden being the only quarterback on the Cowboys roster, the Cowboys are working out quarterback’s all throughout this week.

Romo has thrown for 511 yards and 3 touchdowns this season.
