Bryant hurt his knee in last week’s Sunday night contest versus the Chicago Bears, but returned to the game and ended up catching a touchdown pass from Dak Prescott. He was supposed to have a MRI in the following week, but he skipped it. Bryant has since acknowledged that he made a poor decision in doing so.
The max amount of time the Cowboys expect Bryant to miss is three weeks, which would mean today versus the 49ers, next week versus the Bengals, and then the Cowboys’ week six contest versus the Green Bay Packers.
It was first reported that Bryant suffered a hairline fracture in his knee, but other reports have also diagnosed Bryant with a bone bruise Nonetheless, all we know for sure right now is that Bryant will not play today versus the lowly 49ers.
Bryant has 11 catches for 150 yards and one touchdown so far this season.
