Cubs Option Kyle Schwarber to Triple-A Iowa

The Chicago Cubs have sent top catching prospect Kyle Schwarber to Triple-A Iowa following the Cubs 8-0 win against the Twins, a game in which Schwarber went 1-4. The Cubs originally called Schwarber up from Double-A Tennessee where he had a .320 batting average with 13 home runs and 39 runs batted in.

Schwarber himself isn’t disappointed with the news as well.

During his time with the Cubs which was six games, Schwarber hit .364 with 1 home run and 6 runs batted in. He will be back soon in the Majors according to sources close to the Cubs, and it looks like he can be part of the Cubs future.
