Damarious Randall (Groin) Listed as Questionable vs. Eagles

The Green Bay Packers could be getting some much needed secondary help back when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

Cornerback Damarious Randall, who has not seen the field since Week 6, practiced on a limited basis all week in preparation for the showdown with the Eagles on Monday. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is “very hopeful” that Randall be activate for the game.

“He’s a playmaker and he’s made plays just in his limited time in the league,” Packers safety Morgan Burnett said of his teammate Randall, per Packers.com. “He’s excited, ready to roll, and we’re looking forward to getting him back out there.”

If/when Randall returns, he will likely be tabbed as Green Bay’s main cornerback once again. He had been serving as the Packers number one cornerback before his injury after Sam Shields went down Week 1 with a concussion.

Cornerbacks Quinten Rollins and LaDarius Gunter will then therefore slide down on the depth chart upon Randall’s impending return. The Packers designated cornerback Makinton Dorleant as their one player to return from injured reserve earlier this week.

Randall has 15 total tackles on the year to go with 3 pass deflections and 1 interception. His interception is the only interception by a Packers cornerback this season.
