D’Antoni, Avery Johnson, and Others Among Possible Nuggets Head Coaches

Since the Brian Shaw era has come to a close in Denver, the Nuggets have named Melvin Grant their interim coach for the time being. There are a few other notable names that have had success in head coaching before that are interested in the Nuggets job according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.

D’Antoni was recently the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, as he lead them to a 27-55 record last season, without Kobe Bryant for over 70 games. Avery Johnson, was a coach of the Brooklyn Nets during the 2012-2013 season, until the Nets fired him after he lost 10 out of 13 games. During their last year in New Jersey, Johnson lead the Nets to 22 wins and 44 losses.
