We have finally learned that DeMarcus Cousins will replace Kobe Bryant at the 2014-2015 NBA All-Star game. Kobe Bryant will not play in the game for the second straight year due to his torn rotator cuff which will be him sidelined for 9 months. DeMarcus Cousins has been the “king of snubs” the past couple of years when it comes to the all-star game, but that is no longer the case.
Cousins is having one of the best years out of any center in the NBA this season. He is currently averaging 23.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, 1.6 blocks per game. The other candidate that was rumored to replace Kobe Bryant was Damian Lillard.
DeMarcus Cousins took to Facebook to post the following All-Star message.
Cousins will be a reserve, and James Harden will start in place of Kobe Bryant.
