Another rough year in Sacramento Appears to underway with the Kings starting the year 7-15. One man has been incredibly frustrated with himself and the team, and that is Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins.
Cousins went 5-20 from the field and 3-9 at the charity stripe in the Kings’ 98-95 last second loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he was very critical of himself following the game.
“I’ve been playing like s—, man,” Cousins said. “That is our problem. It is me. I’ve been playing like absolute s—.”
Cousins struggled on the Kings road trip majorily as well, shooting 25% from the field and averaging just 14 points per game.
“I don’t want to make any excuses,” Cousins said. “I’ve been playing like s—. No other excuse.”
“I’ve never been in a stretch like this,” Cousins said. “I have to stay positive, stay together and get in the gym. I know it’s a mental thing right now. It’s hard getting the rhythm when you’re not seeing the ball go through the basket.”
