We all love it when athletes use their wealthiness to help out the city the play for and/or from. Derrick Rose did just that today as D-Rose donated 1 million dollars to a Chicago based after- school charity. The program Rose donated to, specifically focuses on after school programs. The program is called “After School Matters”. Rose spoke on his donation:

“To have a strong community of people who believe in your potential can make all the difference in the world, so many people have invested in me and I want to do the same for Chicago’s teens,” -Derrick Rose
