Derrick Rose says He Plans to Return Before Playoffs

We know you all saw the news about Derrick Rose suffering yet another knee injury last month, but this time Derrick Rose isn’t looking to take any time off, as he plans on returning before the Bulls regular season comes to a close. Rose suffered a tear in his right meniscus in February, which was also the same meniscus he tore last season, where he only played in 12 games.

“That would be the plan,” Rose told the media on Wednesday. “But who knows? Whenever I’m ready to come back, that’s when I’m going to come back.’’

According to Rose, there is currently no pain in his right knee as it hasn’t even been a full month since he underwent surgery.

“I don’t have it [knee pain],” Derrick Rose said. “I don’t have any. So that’s a good sign. The swelling is gone. So it’s all about just getting on the court.”

“I’m feeling good,” Rose said. “I’m trying to do all the right things, put all the positives in the bag and just try to go with it. It’s something that I’ve been doing for a long time with rehab. It’s a grind… definitely a grind… but I’m getting used to it.”

Rose is currently averaging 18.4 points, 5 assists, and 3.1 rebounds per game in 46 games this season. With Jimmy Butler back from his elbow injury, and Rose coming back, the Bulls could be set for a deep playoff run as they will be getting there players back at key times.
