Diamondbacks’ A.J. Pollock (Elbow) Not Expected to Hit The Disabled List

At a press conference earlier today, Arizona Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said with confidence that star center fielder A.J. Pollock will not be on the D-Backs’ disabled list to start the season.

Pollock hasn’t appeared in a Diamondbacks spring game in two weeks, but he has been able to do some work in the Diamondbacks’ Minor League System.

In 157 games for Arizona last year, Pollock slashed .315/367./.498 with 20 home runs and 76 runs batted in. He also stole 39 bases last year, proving that he is indeed a five-tool player. These numbers helped him earn great respect around the sport.

As far as the Diamonbacks outfield alignment, Pollock will be in center. Yasmany Tomas and David Peralta are expected to join him in the outfield that should combine to form one of baseball’s best trios in the outfield.
