Dillon Brooks to Make Season Debut Today vs. Georgetown

Oregon Ducks small forward Dillon Brooks will make his 2016-2017 season debut today against the Georgetown Hoyas, reports Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.

The 20-year-old Brooks has been sidelined since August with a foot injury, which has caused him to miss the Ducks’ first three games. Oregon has posted a 2-1 record without Brooks, but that one loss with an upset loss to the Baylor Bears.

Brooks, who won Pac-12 Player of Year last season, averaged 16.7 points and 5.4rebounds per game, helping lead Oregon to a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Only three teams were ranked ahead of Oregon in the AP Top 25 poll in the Duke Blue Devils, Kentucky Wildcats, and the Villanova Wildcats. The Ducks will certainly drop out of the top 5 on today, but a bounce back should happen fairly quickly with Brooks back.
