With the 21 year-old Anthony Davis not being able to play in his 1st ever all-star game due to his shoulder injury, the NBA has named Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki to the NBA’s All-Star game for the 13th time in his storied career. Dirk has been a huge part of the Mavericks success as he turned down a max contract from the Lakers to remain with the Mavericks.

Nowitzki is currently averaging 18.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, and .5 blocks in 50 games this year for the Mavericks.
