Los Angeles Dodgers star rookie Cody Bellinger has officially brought his first half success over to the second half, and in a big way.

Not only did Bellinger blast his National League leading 26th home run in the Dodgers’ win over the Marlins today, but he also recorded a single, double, and triple to give him the cycle, the 5th one of the 2017 MLB season after the 2016 season had just three in Freddie Freeman, Rajai Davis, and John Jaso.

Bellinger has joined Wil Myers, Trea Turner, Carlos Gomez, and Nolan Arenado on the list of players to hit for the cycle this season, with Arenado being the most recent before Bellinger out of the previous 4 players after he hit a walk-off home run against the San Francisco Giants on June 18th. This cycle is also the first one for the Dodgers since Orlando Hudson‘s in 2009.

Los Angeles is also now 54-18 on the season since the Dodgers promoted Bellinger from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Since his call-up, Bellinger has played both left field and first base, but has been mainly all first base lately as Adrian Gonzalez is on the disabled list with a herniated disc issue.

The 22-year-old Bellinger is among the candidates for the National League’s MVP award, while being the runaway favorite to win rookie of the year. Other MVP candidates in the National League include Bryce Harper, Paul Goldschmidt, Joey Votto, Ryan Zimmerman, and Daniel Murphy.

Bellinger is now batting .271/.349/.639 on the season with those 26 homers and 61 runs batted in.
