The Houston Rockets and Donatas Motiejunas are working together to come up with a new contract, reports ESPN’s Marc Stein.

Houston has pulled the four-year, $37 million offer sheet that Motiejunas agreed to with the Brooklyn Nets last week after matching the offer four days ago.

It was reported yesterday that the Rockets and Motiejunas are disputing over a $6 million discrepancy between the offer sheet he signed with Brooklyn and the deal the Rockets want him to sign. Motiejunas’ Brooklyn offer sheet had $6 million in likely and unlikely incentives, meaning that the Rockets only have to pay Motiejunas $31 million to match the offer.

While he played in only 37 games for Houston last season, Motiejunas averaged 6.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game after coming off a career year in-which he averaged 12 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Assuming the Rockets and Motiejunas agreed to a deal mutually, Motiejunas will become apart of Houston’s core off the bench with him likely backing up up Ryan Anderson, who’s averaging 12.3 points per game this season.

The 26-year-old Motiejunas has career averages of 7.8 points, 4.0 rebounds,and 1.1 assists per game in 214 NBA games.
