It wasn’t a pretty win for the Miami Heat, but nonetheless they escaped Phoenix with a 103-95 victory over the Phoenix Suns Friday night.
Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 27 points tonight, while Brandon Knight lead the Suns with 26. Former Suns players Goran Dragic and Gerald Green contributed a combined 43 points in the winning effort.
“I’m just happy that we started off the road trip with a win. It’s all fun and games,” said Green.
Back-to-back 3’s by Dragic and Green followed by another three-pointer from Chris Bosh iced the Heat’s 22nd win on the season.
Suns guard Devin Booker contributed 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort. Booker scored 11 straight points at one point during the game.
“We were just moving the ball, shots started falling,” Booker said. “We had a smaller lineup out there but they ended up making runs, too.”
Miami, (22-14) will be in Utah on Saturday night while Phoenix, (13-26) will have a few days off before taking on the Pacers in Indiana.
