Wade also went into detial on why he won’t play tonight versus the Cavaliers, even though he said he could play.
“Coming in here, playing this game, a very emotional game, you might try to do a little too much.”
“So I didn’t want to have any kind of setbacks or anything.”
“I felt like I could’ve played, but it wasn’t the smartest thing to do,” Wade said. “I look forward to after the break, coming back for the guys, getting a practice [Next] Wednesday and Thursday and getting ready to play Friday, just getting ready to understand the last 30 games, we’ve got some good some basketball we have to play if we want to play further, in April and May.”
“It’s weird how things work themselves out,” he said. “The first time, with my left hamstring, I missed seven games and my first game back was in the Garden. This time I miss seven games, and my first game back will be at the Garden. So it’s weird how things work out, but hopefully we have the same results and that’s a win.”
Wade is currently 2nd on the Heat in point average and 1st in assists per game average.
