#1 Justise Winslow, SF
It may be a lot to say Justise Winslow is the Heat player that needs to step up the most at just 19 years of age, but Winslow says he is ready to step up.
“We’re just going to have to be tough, be physical,” Winslow said, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
“We’ve gone small, especially late in games. But it’s going to be more, the whole game now, without C.B. It’s going to be really tough, but I’m sure we can figure out a way.”
Winslow also knows that not just one person will be able to match Bosh’s averages of 19 points and 7 rebounds:
“One person isn’t going to make it all up,” he said. “It’s going to be a collective effort, three points here, five points here. It’s not going to be one person that’s going to make up 19 points. It’s just about everyone stepping up.
“He was kind of the voice on the floor, so everybody has to communicate better. So we’ve just got to find ways to pick up some of the things C.B. did.”
Winslow leads the Heat in 4th quarter minutes played this year with 446. Yup. You read that one right, and now the next challenge for him will be being the starter the Heat need.
